| 内容記述 | 1983年5月26日正午頃日本海中部地震が発生した.気象庁(1983)の発表によれば,発生時刻は12時0分,マグニチュードは7.7,震源は秋田県沖で北緯40°24′,東経138°54′,深さ約5kmであり,各地の震度は以下のようであった.V:秋田,むつ,深浦 IV:盛岡,青森八戸,酒田,江差 III:室蘭,福島宮古,仙台,大船渡,但知安,輪島,山形,函館,帯広,新潟,新庄,相川,高田 II:札幌,小名浜,留萌,前橋,浦河,小樽,白河,苫小牧 I:金沢,釧路,旭川,長野,網走,館山,西郷,石巻,豊岡,水戸,福井,岩見沢,米子,敦賀,三島,熊谷,横浜,諏訪,広尾,父島 筆者らは,地震発生後早速現地へ赴き,主として土木構造物の被害を調査してきた.以下にその概要を報告する. | |||||

| 内容記述 | The Nihon-kai Chubu earthquake of M=7.7 occured on May 26, 1983. The earthquake brought some damage in Akita Prefecture and Aomori Prefecture. This report describes the earthquake-induced damage on the various types of civil engineering and associated structures:・Roads・Railways・Ports and harbors・Water supply systems and sewerage structures・Electric power and communication systems・Gas supply systems・Ground liquefaction・Oil tank・Tsunami The following items are main features of the damage: 1. About 100 persons were killed by the tsunami in Akita and Aomori Prefectures. 2. In this area, much soft-layered ground exists and the damage of liquefaction was severe. In particular, the dikes of reclaimed land at Oogata Village in Akita Prefecture were damaged severely. | |||||
