| 内容記述 | Coordinate structures behave quite differently from the other syntactic unites. For example, any category can be present on their both sides, and the categories need to be the same. I propose that these unique behaviors should be ascribed to the lexical property of coordinators. The lexical property is that they have two (pairs of) unspecified slots about categorial values in the Formal Feature Matrix. This property also accounts for the Coordinate Structure Constraint (CSC) effect proposed in Ross (1967). This analysis makes it possible to eliminate CSC. | |||||
